When was this lair started?

Why was this lair started?

The only available local forums at the time where seduction was discussed were of commercial interest and hindered the development process of getting better with women for people who did not want to pay for commercial services.

If the lair is supposed to be free, why are there commercial members?

Initially, not commercial members were allowed, but as time passed, we realized commercial members would actually help decrease keyboard jockeying. (keyboard jockeying is posting a lot on the forum but not taking any real action, all the while claiming to have skills with women.) With regards to commercial members, what you see is what you get. There is no hidden transaction between the commercial members and the people running this website and forum. We look down upon such dishonest behaviours and believe to the fullest that the success of this lair will only come through the noble, non-profit goal that it was originally set up with.

How long do I have to wait after I have sent my application before I am granted entry?

Depending on the meet up schedule and how busy the person doing the meet-ups with new members is, 2 to 4 weeks. And we will absolutely check IDs to uphold the British Columbia laws as the forum discusses many adult related topics. And any attempts to bypass the age limit will be met with permanent banning from the forum and a likelihood to negatively affect any future application to join the lair by the offending member.

How much does it cost to join the lair?

It's free. And there is absolutely no membership cost and never will be. The current forum is run at the minor loss of the hosting fee that is required to be paid and the website design was kindly donated by one of the founding members.

I'm not in Vancouver at the moment, can I still apply?

Yes you may. We do regularly have members coming up from Seattle or from overseas briefly visiting Vancouver and we do accept membership from those members. However, we still advise you to apply well in advance (at least 2 weeks) if you wish to be able to use the forum by the time you arrive at Vancouver, as the member application process can take some time.

Are there any regular meetings?

No, there are no regular meetings. The founders of the forum are simply founders of the forum, not founders of the Vancouver Lair. All meetings and in-person events are organized by existing members and well contributing members are sometimes promoted to positions such as Events Manager as to be given certain moderator privileges and make it easier to organize events. As a result, there are still semi-regular meetings that you can attend, but they do not happen as often as once a month, perhaps three or four times a year. At the same time, none of the founders of the website are responsible for, nor in agreement with the contents of such meetings and events and cannot be held responsible for what goes on in the meetings. The founders will however do what limited things they can through the forum so that all meetings held from members within will generally be positive and helpful to the attending members.
