Rules

These are the general rules and guidelines you must accept and be willing to adhere to before you are granted entry to the lair. The same rules are listed at the top of the introductions section in the forum and you must accept the rules there as well before you are granted full entry to all of the forum pages.

Rules for All Members

1. You will write a good introduction of yourself once you have been granted entry. Other members have already posted a lot about themselves through various parts of the forum and it is only fair that you share about yourself as well upon first entering the forum. The other parts of the forum will not be visible until you have written an introduction. Visibility to the other parts of the forum will be granted immediately after you have written your introduction and agreed to abide by the rules once again in the rules section of the introduction area where the majority of these rules are listed there as well.
2. To prune out inactive members and keep quality members, the forum has a automatic member pruning system on and your account will get permanently and automatically deleted if you have less than 10 posts and have not made a single post in the past 60 days. All members who have more than 10 posts will thereafter hold a permanent account immune from automatic deletion.
3. Treat others with respect.
4. No Keyboard Jockeying (typing a lot on the forum but not taking action).
5. Non-lair guests are not welcome to lair meetings unless the event organizers are given notice and approval has been given.
6. Discussion of illegal activities on the forum board may cause immediate termination of membership. (ie. recreational drug use, intercourse with a minor, underage drinking, usage of fake ID, piracy of intellectual property, etc.)
7. Posts on this forum must deal with the subject of relationships between man and woman/women. We apologize in advance but we are not a clinic of any sort and do NOT have the tools to help individuals who are in the process of identifying their sexuality. And as this forum deals with individuals' sex lives explicitly, we ask that all discussion remain in the heterosexual category as sex lives explicitly discussed in the non-heterosexual category may not be pleasant for other members.
8. You are of legal drinking age (19) or older. Members who are found out to be otherwise and having lied in the screening process will be removed immediately and permanently and will NOT be re-granted entry back to the forum even when the offending member has reached legal age. Re-entry of the offending member will be subject to the decision based entirely on the person running and paying for the website and the forum. All field reports of the offending member will also be deleted instantly and permanently and no notice in advance will be given for the removals.
9. Do NOT hit on other members' girlfriends, social circle, or family members uninvited. Use your common sense.
10. People with criminal records are absolutely NOT welcome on the forum. Every member must be a citizen of good standing and members found otherwise will be removed without notice.
11. Everyone is welcome to give ideas of improvement for the lair in the Forum Activities and Suggestions sub forum. Requests such as adding more online tools, creating or reorganizing forum categories, and the creating of new events have been implemented and good suggestions are always welcome.
12. As the lair founders, we take an oath to never profit from the members of Vancouver Lair. The Lair founders include all people who hold special forum account status including, but not limited to, moderators, event organizers, administrators and the person paying for the website and forum's hosting and maintenance funds.
13. The primary objective of this forum is to have it run for the members by the members. You, as the member, decide how it's run, we are extremely flexible.
14. If you would like to add something here, post in the suggestions sub-forum once you have made your introduction post.

Member Rights

1. Staying on this forum forever may not be the wisest decision in your long term self-improvement goals. Therefore, we have decided that any member who wishes to ban themselves and have all of their posts deleted can have it done so. Please request this in the Forum Activities and Suggestions section and a moderator or admin will do this easily for you rather than you going back and deleting each one of your posts manually. We do appreciate it however, if you decide to leave your posts here to help future members that will be using this forum.
2. If you are receiving unwanted private messaging, you can block certain users from sending you messages using the options in the user control panel. To learn more about forum options, and information on the usage of the forum software, please consult the FAQ page.

Commercial Member Rules

1. Anyone with commercial interest is allowed to use the promotions section even if you did not apply for membership to the lair as a commercial member. Commercial posts elsewhere will be looked down upon and removed as seen fit by the mods or admins.
2. We appreciate it if private messages are not abused to pressure members into buying or using your services as this is something our moderators and administrators cannot oversee but can nonetheless affect the quality of experience a lair member can have on this forum.
3. Your reputation on the forum is solely your responsibility. The mods and admins of the forum will not remove other members' posts of negative reviews of your product or workshops if they do arise.
4. We have a thank-post system installed onto the forum and when you contribute a lot of good posts, your contributions will not go unnoticed.
5. There is no cost in maintaining a commercial member account, and there never will be. There will also be no difference in membership status between a regular forum member and a commercial forum member. No moderator or admin will ever ask you to pay a fee because of your commercial status.
6. As there is no visible difference between a commercial and a regular member, and regular members may not be aware of your services, all commercial members are allowed to have the following brief message in your signature:
   More information about commercial services provided by ExampleMember can be found at examplewebsite.
   Whereby you insert your name and relevant web address instead. No further advertisement will be allowed and pictorial advertisements will also not be allowed. You can still have a non-commercial related picture in your signature however.
7. Commercial members who have offered good value to the forum will be rewarded with a special sub forum section in the Promotions sub forum as seen fit by the mods and admins. Further details of this can be found in the Promotions sub forum.
8. The forum and the main website will NEVER take up any advertising so do not ask about it.
9. Although this lair was created for the non-commercial members, we do appreciate the help that dating coaches can provide and if you have any suggestions to improve the Promotions section or something that can be done unobtrusively to aid all commercial members equally, we will gladly implement the suggestion.
